Husky in Turkish Climate Challenge

Huskies were bred for -60C Arctic conditions:

• Turkey summers (35-42C) are dangerous
• Even spring/autumn can be uncomfortable
• Heat stroke risk is HIGH

Non-Negotiable Summer Requirements

• Air conditioning 24/7 (set to 18-20C)
• Walks ONLY before sunrise or after sunset
• Cooling mat or small pool access
• Never in outdoor enclosure during day
• Ice treats and frozen food available

Escape Prevention

Huskies are legendary escape artists:

• Can jump 1.8m fences easily
• Can dig under fences in minutes
• Need 2.4m+ fencing
• Must never be in unsecured area

Exercise Needs

• 2+ hours physical exercise daily (minimum)
• Mental stimulation critical (intelligent breed)
• Pulling activities ideal
• Swimming good alternative in summer

Coat Care

• Double coat sheds massively
• NEVER shave (coat regulates temperature both ways)
• Brush every 2-3 days
• Blow coat season: daily brushing
