Santorini is VERY tourist-heavy in summer. For dogs:

  • Narrow caldera paths (not suitable for large breeds)
  • Extreme heat July-August
  • Best visited May-June or September-October
  • Fewer pet hotels than mainland

Caldera views, central. Limited but premium pet hotels. Prices: from €90/night.

Kamari & Perissa (Black Beach)

Black sand beaches. More spacious. Prices: from €65/night.

Pyrgos & Megalochori

Quieter villages. Larger outdoor spaces. Prices: from €58/night.

Dog Activities

  • Caldera rim path (Fira to Oia) - doable but challenging
  • Black beach morning walks (before 9am)
